This research aims to analyze the growth in the number of investors in the Indonesian capital market until 2023 as well as the dynamics of social media and internet use in Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive quantitative using secondary data from the Indonesian Stock Exchange and the We Are Social report. Research findings show that the number of capital market investors will reach 12.16 million people in 2023, an increase of 18% from the previous year. This increase is attributed to the socialization, education, and capital market literacy efforts carried out by the Indonesian Stock Exchange. On the other hand, social media use in Indonesia decreased by 12.57%, but the time spent interacting on these platforms reached 3 hours 18 minutes per day, placing it as the tenth highest in the world. The number of internet users also increased, reaching 212.9 million, with the majority using mobile phones. These findings contribute by providing an in-depth understanding of the growth of investors in the capital market and trends in social media use, which can be the basis for designing more effective strategies in supporting the development of the financial and investment sector in Indonesia.
